PERSONS WITH "COVID EXTENSIONS" CAN APPLY FOR RESIDENCE CARDS ONLY UNTIL JULY 30, 2023!
On June 30, 2023, after more than 3 years, the state of epidemic/epidemic threat was canceled in Poland.
Meanwhile, many foreigners reside legally in our country on the basis of the so-called "covid extensions", i.e. automatically extended visas or residence cards. According to the "covid law" introduced in March 2020, the "extensions" will cease to apply 30 days after the state of epidemic/epidemic threat is cancelled, which means that these persons must settle their residence status by July 30, 2023, i.e. submit an application for a residence permit or leave Poland.
Therefore, it is the last moment to establish "an action plan" and book a date for submitting an application for a residence permit at the voivodship office.
The situation of people staying in Poland on the basis of a short-term stay (e.g. on the basis of type "C" visa or visa-free travel) is slightly different than people with "D" visas and residence cards, but for both groups the date of July 30, 2023 is very important.
