INSURANCE FOR VISA/RESIDENCE CARD

When applying for a visa, as well as during the procedure for obtaining a residence permit, it is necessary to present a confirmation of valid insurance of medical expenses.

Of course, please remember that if the foreigner is currently working, the purchase of the policy is not necessary, because persons employed in Poland have public insurance in ZUS.

Please also note that consulates and voivodship offices require only medical expenses insurance.
In the link provided, you will find the option of taking out accident and civil liability insurance, of course you can use it, but it is not necessary, you only need to insure treatment costs, i.e. protection in the event of illness, including illness requiring hospital treatment.

The amount covered must be at least € 30,000.

Please also remember that some foreigners' medical packages for treatment in private facilities are not sufficient! - in general, they provide the possibility of private visits to specific specialists, but they do not constitute a protection in the event of a serious illness and the need for treatment in a public facility.
